Tăriceanu: Klaus Iohannis is still an inadequate person for the office of president

Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu stated he respected the citizens' vote, noting that the result was not the one he expected. "It is important to note one thing: as we respect the outcome of the 2014 voting, I think our opponents must respect the outcome of the 2012 parliamentary elections voting" , Tăriceanu stated.

"I was in the second round along with Victor Ponta, we undertook together the project USL 2 and as such I take the responsibility for a part of the failure. That does not mean I am quitting the battle. I too feel the responsibility before  those who voted for me and for that we must take  fulfill our mandate. "

"I still believe that Mr. Klaus Iohannis, although the winner of the presidential election, remains an inadequate person for president," former Prime Minister Calin Popescu-Tariceanu said.

Here are the most important statements by  Tăriceanu:

-Klaus Iohannis does not have the experience nor the competence necessary to be president of Romania.

-Iohannis will continue to represent the Băsescu regime and being maneuvered by the people in the  PDL  we will assist the continuation of this regime which has not leave a fond memory on Romanians.

- I cannot leave behind the remark Mr. Iohannis made yesterday - "We have taken back our country!” I cannot understand this remark. I do not know whom we take the country from and to whom we give it. It appears to be a remark typical to Băsescu  and this thing has me thinking, because Mr.  Iohannis declared himself the president of all Romanians.

- I will continue the fight started to proceed with my projects and to support liberalism in Romania.
