All the three politicians dream of becoming president of Romania, but they are not by far mere civil servants, but people who own considerable fortunes.

Cătălin Predoiu former Minister of Justice in the PDL Basescu-Boc Government, owns together with his wife  two land plots in Voluntari and a house in the same village. According to the declaration of assets of 2011, he  has jewelry and art objects worth 70,000 euros. Predoiu’s accounts balance was  RON  40,000 and he still has to cash in  nearly half a million euros after selling  his law firm to his associate.

Mihai Razvan Ungureanu, prime minister for  70 days after the fall of the  Boc Government and former head of the SIE. According to his  declaration of assets of 2012, he and his wife  own three land plots  totaling  25,000 square meters. Ungureanu family has got  an apartment in Iasi and a house in Ilfov. The two  also have banks have deposits of more than 17,000 euros and nearly RON 40,000.

The former PM’s wife cashed in from 2009 to 2011 not less than 170.000 euros from the OMV-Petrom, on medical services.

Cristian Diaconescu, former Minister of Justice and former presidential adviser, has 3,000 square meters of land in Arges and Bucharest. He has got two homes, one in Bucharest and one in Arges and two apartments in the Capital. He also holds paintings worth € 6,000. The banks accounts of  Diaconescu have more than  70.000 RON and  4,000 dollars.
