An important vote was given in the plenum of the Parliament today. Senators and deputies were able to reconcile the Romanian Constitutional Court decision with the MP’s status.
Therefore, the requests by the DNA prosecutors for remand will be decided by a majority vote of the MPs present and not by "qualified majority", meaning the majority made from all MPs.
They were able to vote for this amendment with 292 votes "for". Even PSD Senator Dan Sova agreed to this change.
