Following the elections for the European Parliament , the electoral alliance of PSD-PC UNPR gathered 2,093,234 votes, PNL - 835 531 votes, PDL - 680 853 votes, independent candidate Mircea Diaconu - 379 582 votes, UDMR - 350 689 votes and PMP - 345 973 votes.
The other political parties whose candidates ran in the Sunday elections, as well as the remaining independent candidates did not meet the threshold of 5% to accede into the EP.
On the European Parliament elections day 5,911,794 citizens came to vote, from the total number of voters in the permanent and special electoral lists - 18,221,061.
Around 689.371 voters voted Sunday on the additional lists.
According to the minute drafted by the Central Electoral Bureau on the centralization of the votes and seats distribution in the European elections, 345.011 of the votes were declared invalid.

The BEC spokesperson specified Thursday afternoon that the BEC will give candidates the MEP certificates .
The list of 16 seats the PSD-PC-UNPR alliance got is opened by Corina Cretu, who was a member of the European Parliament in the previous term. The second place is occupied by a new-entry, Ecaterina Andronescu , former PSD senator. And the third seat goes to the current PSD spokesman Catalin Ivan.
Former Minister of Communications, Dan Nica, will also be an MEP, as well as the former minister for SMEs Maria GRAPPIN, and the current adviser to Victor Ponta Damian Draghici. Ponta’s wife, Dacian Sarbu got re-elected for an MEP seat just as Ioan Mircea Pascu and Viorica Dăncilă . Ionel Sorin Moise the 10th runner up on the UNPR PSD-PC alliance list of MEPs is the former Deputy Chief of Cabinet of Commissioner Dacian Ciolos.
Victor Bostinaru gets a new mandate to Brussels, so does Claudiu Ciprian Tănăsescu. Doru Frunzulica changes the state secretary chair at the Department of Foreign Investment Projects and Infrastructure with the MEP seat. Last on the list of candidates with a real chance to go to Brussels after the official count of the votes are Conservative Laurenţiu Rebega,Ana Claudia Ţapardel and Andi Lucian Cristea.
The Liberals who go to the European Parliament are Norica Nicolai, who won a second term, seconded by Antonescu's wife, Adina Valean. Former Minister of Transport, Ramona Mănescu will work now also in Brussels, as well as Cristian Busoi, who resumes his seat in the EP. Renate Weber will be the fifth representative of the Liberals, and Eduard Hellvig concludes the list.
Almost all representatives of PDL are veterans in the European Parliament. Theodor Stolojan, Monica Macovei, Traian Ungureanu and Marian Jean Marinescu keep their seats, the Liberal Democrats only novelty is Daniel Buda.
The party close to Traian Basescu’s heart will send two people in Brussels. It is the former adviser to the President Basescu, Cristian Preda, and Siegfried Vasile Muresan, who surprisingly took up the place that was originally intended for the president’s daughter.
UDMR will be represented in Parliament by Iulian Winkler an Şogor Csaba. The Romanian MEPs list will be completed by independent candidate Mircea Diaconu
