-------------------------
The epic story of Traian Basescu with the prosecutors reached its second episode today. The main character, Traian Basescu, is quoted in this afternoon to the Prosecutor General office for further explanation about the case in which Senator Gabriela Firea accused him of blackmail and threat. Basescu's lawyer was already on the premises to study the brief before the former President’s hearing.
It is the same defense technique that his client, the suspect Traian Basescu has chosen so far: Not to speak with the prosecutors nor with the journalists about the file. Only that the former president will not have a choice and will have to defend himself after having exhausted all tricks to postpone the hearing. Last week he refused to be heard and his lawyer asked for a delay to study the brief and the charges.

Basescu spent about 20 minutes there and when he left he would not say what he discussed with prosecutors, after being officially informed of the charges.
The scandal began after the former president, referring to the PSD Senator who was member in the Nana dubious land purchase investigation committee, threatened her husband.
In his final attack on the very day that he has been subpoenaed to appear before the General Prosecution, a few hours after learning he was prosecuted, Basescu asked Gabriela Firea to decide whether she was a senator or "an eight months pregnant mummy" when he fights against him before the prosecutors.
