More and more case files are open on the name of Traian Băsescu after completing his term in the office as president of Romania. The most recent case file targets the kidnapping of the journalists in Iraq.
The decision of reopening this case file on behalf of Traian Băsescu is pending from the Supreme Court following a complaint submitted by Corneliu Vadim Tudor.
In his complaint, Vadim Tudor refers to statements made by former prosecutor Ciprian Nastasiu in his book.
