Traian Basescu does not want to join the PMP anymore, sources close to the former president say. His people have made an analysis and concluded that the poor image of Elena Udrea affects the project’s success. According to sources, PMP members are having  a meeting today and they are expecting  Traian Basescu to join them and discuss the political future of the former president.

Traian Basescu should definitively break  away from Udrea, at least publicly, they say. The fact is that the PMP project will be abandoned, because Basescu will either join the People's Movement Foundation or  will either set up  a new political structure.

The same sources from  Elena Udrea’s party argue that the majority of the PMP members will soon join other parties, mostly  the PNL and the  PSD.
