Traian Băsescu would do anything to stay in the spotlight

Traian Băsescu would do anything to stay in the spotlight 114
Former president Traian Băsescu is attacking everyone in his attempt to remain in the spotlight. His most recent target – the PSD acting president, Liviu Dragnea.

" Dragnea’s personality is that of a man willing to lie so everything should be ok for him. He’s got a miserable character”, Băsescu continued, who wanted to add that his wife, Maria Băsescu, threw away a present he received from Dragnea: „Dragnea, with his sleek style, came to bring me a gift for luck, he brought me a little ship which he had brought with him from Brazil. My wife, when she learned who it was from, tossed it away”, Băsescu stated Friday.

The topic was debated on the Friday’s edition of the show “On Today’s Agenda”, produced by Dana Grecu, on Antena 3.

The producer of the Meeting Point show, Radu Tudor, opinionated that the statement by Traian Băsescu shows he is afraid of Liviu Dragnea.

" I find that TB is afraid of Liviu Dragnea and I would decrypt his message as "he fooled Geoana and Ponta, oh dear, he could do that to me too." I think that TB has got a serious problem with Dragnea. And he's trying to connect himself to the driving engine. His party’s quota is lower than the VAT on bread and he is desperate to connect with that person that people speak about from morning till dawn. He swears at him in order to be broadcast on television. And he will be done now. I cannot wait for Liviu Dragnea’s to shuffle Traian Basescu’s anxiety ".
In turn, sociologist Marius Pieleanu explained that Traian Băsescu is only struggling to stay in the spotlight.

"He is not afraid. The man is trying to cling to any event to make his presence felt. If we have eight days in a row without Traian Basescu on the news, on all TV channels, the ninth day we will see him holding a flag here, wanting to get in on the show of Dana Grecu. They kept discussing today that Traian Basescu might run for the City Hall. As a man dealing with figures, I tell you that would he could raise some interesting numbers, at least to get a seat in the General Council. We are still trying to decipher in depth Traian Basescu. He is not saying much.

Liberal Virgil Guran did not comment on the statement by Băsescu and briefly replied "(Traian Băsescu)He is a brute. How can you argue that Dragnea makes whatever, when this is all he has ever done?"
