Elena Udrea’s wealth has never been verified by the National Integrity Agency (NIA), the institution empowered to do so, although there were many doubts about how he acquired the houses, land, jewelry and the millions of euros she has put down in her statement of assets.

For instance, after the divorce from Dorin Cocoş, Elena Udrea’s accounts grew by impressive amounts of money.

Udrea owns 27 land plots of which 2 in the Nana village, the Călăraşi county, where the daughter of former president Traian Băsescu bought a land plot. Udrea owns two houses in Bucharest, two cars but also jewelry amounting to 100.000 euros.

Elena Udrea has achieved an annual income of 58,908 lei as a member of Parliament.

Elena Udrea is criminally prosecuted for money laundry and forged statements in the Microsoft case file and she has been placed under judiciary control after more than four hours hearings at the DNA.





Udrea knew about the bribes managed by her ex-husband Dorin Cocoş, in the Microsoft, case file, prosecutors argue. Moreover, the income statements and the assets statements from 2009 to 2014, reveal that Udrea has used part of the money to buy things that she could not have afforded to buy otherwise from her minister salary.

- to inform the DNA and the Police section 2 Bucharest if she changes her residence
- to go to the Section 2, according to the surveillance schedule every time she is summoned
- not to leave Bucharest without the prior consent of the case prosecutor

- not to approach the other defendants in the case, the other participants in the crime or the case witnesses
- not to communicate with them directly or indirectly, in any way
- if she violates those terms, Udrea risks to be placed in home arrest or under temporary custody.
