Prime Minister Victor Ponta has sent a message in French, showing that there is a profound indignation after the bombing of Isere and that France is supported in the mobilization against terrorism.
"Profound indignation after the bombing of Isere. Support for France in these times of mobilization against terrorism" Ponta wrote on Twitter.
One or two attackers who claimed they were part of the Islamic State terrorist group committed an attack on Air Products chemical plant in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, killing one person and injuring another two.
Sources close to the investigation told Le Dauphine Libre that a car came within the factory shortly before 10.00 local time (11.00 GMT), made several turns then hit the gas cylinders in the factory yard, triggering at least one explosion.
The French daily reports also that a man was beheaded in the courtyard of the plant, but that it was not an employee. His head was found a few meters away from the body, hanging from a fence and covered with inscriptions in Arabic.
A man aged 30, known to the French intelligence services, was arrested. Another man, traveling in a vehicle this morning in advance of the attack and making rounds to the targeted company is actively sought.
According to sources in the internal security services, "all signals in recent weeks have been red to warn of the possibility of such an attack on national territory".
