LOT Polish Airlines will operate from 30 March regular flights on the route Cluj-Warsaw, the general manager for Romania and Moldova of LOT Polish Airlines announced Tuesday in a press conference, Jakub Malecki, according to  Capital.
He said that the new route will be operated initially with four weekly flights. "It is a confirmation of our company that we want to become a leading company in the new Europe, where Romania is a key market for us. The flights to Cluj are another token of what LOT investments in Romania mean. If the results are positive, then we will soon see daily flights to this destination, "said Jakub Malecki.

Director of "Avram Iancu" International Airport in Cluj, David Ciceo, said in the same press conference that the new route provides, for the first time, a flight to the capital of Poland and a number of connections with major cities in Europe and North America for the Cluj airport passengers .
He also added that in 2015, the 'Avram Iancu' Airport was ranked fifth in Europe in terms of growth in passenger numbers in the category of airports under five million passengers, and that for the current year an increase of approximately 20% is expected, thus approaching the figure of two million passengers annually.
In turn, the Cluj County Council (CJ) president, Marius Veal said that the new route will bring new travel options for passengers and that Cluj airport will provide increased connectivity options for Cluj County and the entire region.
