Romanians who made big fortunes are being checked by tax inspectors again. So far, more than 100 persons are unable to justify assets worth one to five million lei. Another 50 persons have five to teann million lei unaccounted for. Some people, however, have not declared fortunes worth 20 million lei or more. Tax inspectors took an interest, in November, in the indecent fortunes of Romanian citizens who declare modest incomes. More than 300 people, as well as their relatives and friends, will be checked by this country's Financial Management Authority.
