The draft budget has no funds earmarked for church building or rehabilitation works. In exchange, the 2016 budget sets aside almost 37 million lei for boosting the salaries of priests and other church employees. Thus, the incomes of non-clerical workers will rise from 600 to one thousand and 50 lei.
