Romanian crossing the Americas by bicycle reached the southern end of Mexico. Radu Paltineanu pedaled over 10,000 kilometers and climbed in just two days, one of the world's highest volcanic peaks, Mount Orizaba.

The road has been bumpy, the Romanian tells on his blog. But he still has 14,000 kilometers to travel until the southernmost city in the world.

After traveling more than 10,000 kilometers on bike, Radu Paltineanu climbed the highest volcanic peak in North America. It was one of his ambitions. Together with a British friend, Bob they arrived on Orizaba mountain top in just two days.

The success was all the greater since, until reaching the mountaintop, Radu went through a series of adventures. His mobile phone was stolen, he was just about to be bitten by a poisonous snake and spent a night in a police cell. The Mexican agents were those who helped him to find equipment for climbing the mountain. After the climbing, the 26 year old continued his trip on the border with Guatemala.

After having pedaled over 24 000 kilometers and passes through 14 countries in North America, Central America and South America, Radu will reach his final destination Ushuaia. This is considered the southernmost city on the planet, it is in Argentina. He will get there after 9 months of pedaling.
