Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, on Tuesday congratulated all the Romanian troops in the theatres of operations, on the occasion of the Christmas and year-end celebrations, in a videoconference he held at the headquarters of the Ministry, Agerpres reports.
"We are proud of you, of the manner in which you knew how to accomplish your missions together with our partners and, on this occasion, I want you to send to all the Romanian troops my wish of Happy Holidays and a new year full of achievements and peace," said Dusa in his message.
The Minister of National Defence was informed by the commanders of detachments about the situation in the responsibility areas, the relations with the local authorities and the allies, while appreciating the effort made by the troops to accomplish with their missions far away from their country, assuring them of the Ministry's full support.
As many as 260 Romanian troops are deployed in the theatres of operations at this moment.
