The president of the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania jumped to the rescue of their co-national from Târgu Secuiesc who was detained for 30 days for an attempted terror attack.
Kelemen Hunor wrote a letter in English to several Ambassadors to Romania and complained that, we quote, "part of the Romanian media implied that the entire Hungarian community would be responsible for event in Târgu Secuiesc.
A foreseeable outcome of such an attitude is that, from now on, the Romanian society may perceive any legitimate aspirations of ethnic Hungarians as clear and present dangers," Kelemen Hunor said in the letter, also sent to the Romanian President and Prime Minister.
