Radu Soviani is the March nominee for the Freedom of the Press for Courage award.
The journalist entered the race for the grand prize of 50,000 lei, for the contribution that he has brought to economics knowledges and the documented and substantiated analyses that it has achieved over the years.
Dan Voiculescu foundation decided that Radu Soviani should this year’s third nomination for the Freedom of the Press for Courage award, for his entire activity so far.
Radu Soviani is an experienced journalist interested in what happens in the Romanian economy and the world, which became noted over time due to his attitude of solidarity with the citizens affected by the excesses of banks, insurers or state institutions.
The Freedom of the Press for Courage award can be granted to all those who stand up against abuses, who fight for actions that could have resulted into the restriction of press freedom.
Nominations have started in January, and the nominees so far are Mihai Petean and Gheorghe Piperea.
