The Labour Minister said she had talks with the Liberal President Crin Antonescu and Prime Minister Victor Ponta, on this issue, without being asked to submit her resignation.
Mariana Câmpeanu affirmed that, following the publication of the material news about her husband's retirement, she was subjected to psychological pressure which gave her the feeling that she "would fall down to."
"At one point you cannot resist anymore. And that’s exactly the problem I went to Mr. Antonescu for. Physically and mentally I feel like I cannot work,” the Minister of Labour added.

The minister explained on Antenna 3 her husband’s medical condition and the way he retired.
“My husband is a person who suffers from some very serious diseases that evolve over time. For three years he has struggled for life. He had cancer, underwent surgery, irradiation and chemotherapy treatment, (...), he experienced dizziness, headaches, and could not get out of bed, " Mariana Câmpeanu said.
"They could not charge me with anything and then they went after my family. I get the feeling that they want to get me to the DNA," Labour Minister Mariana Câmpeanu said.
"I’ve been accused that I have enjoyed that money, the attendant allowance, but I want you to know that both my husband and I, we participate in the Revolution. We did not ask for anything, no certificate, no tax exemptions, no money, no land, so I do not believe that the purpose has been to obtain the 300 lei then and now 500-600 as it has increased, " Mariana Câmpeanu said.
