AH1N1 flu virus is in Romania. 16 cases of seasonal influenza, with H1N1 strain were confirmed in Bucharest.
Doctors say the number of cases is likely to be higher, but for the other people suspected of having contacted the virus they expect the laboratory examinations results.

Adrian Streinu Cercel, director of Matei Bals Infectious Diseases hospital, explained in a telephone intervention for the Meeting Point show, presented by Radu Tudor, what Romanians must know under the circumstances:
"There are up to 20 cases curently recorded and diagnosed, because not every flu is investigated. I would like to mention that we are not talking about the 2009 pandemic virus, but about a seasonal flu virus. Those who have been vaccinated have no problem, and those who were not vaccinated obviously are at risk, " Streinu-Cercel said.
