Allegations of plagiarism will be examined by a new institution empowered to withdraw fraudulently obtained PhD degrees. This is one of the first radical measures taken by the new Education Minister, who called for dissolving the National Ethics Council. The latter institution was involved in several scandals over the years and came into conflict with the Universities which decided that the titles of Doctor awarded to several VIPs were based on plagiarized dissertations.
