Ioan Oltean, the MP charged with taking a 600 thousand euro bribe in a church, can be detained by prosecutors. Before the parliamentary vote that stripped him of immunity, Oltean was keen on warning his fellow MPs that they might soon find themsleves in his situation. Then, he said he had already packed his bag to go to prison. Although he faces corruption charges in the same case, deputies would not lift their liberal colleague, Cătălin Teodorescu's immunity.
