Dana Grecu spoke Tuesday evening during the show On today’s agenda, on Antena 3, about the procedures the Superior Council of Magistracy drafted which target the online media directly and the disclosures made by journalists about magistrates abuses.
In the meeting held on 3 February 2016 reuniting the specialized commissions of the SCM, one of the items discussed regarded the support to be given to magistrates against whom criticism that undermines the independence of the judiciary is directed "  Lumea Justiției reports.

The SCM members concluded that it would be necessary to amend the broadcasting legislation.

According to the SCM, this would happen by placing under the law the online media, ie sites and by including a provision in the sense that when the Council finds that independence of the judiciary through the media is undermined, The Broadcasting council would automatically apply a penalty.

"Obviously a proposal as aberrant as possible and, more importantly, which represents a serious attack against the freedom of expression. It would get into a situation where the SCM members decide that any item that is not convenient for them is undermining the independence of justice and the publication will be automatically punished.
Practically SCM wants to turn itself into a small court, although any magistrate who considers himself injured by an article or material released may sue the journalist or the publication. In addition, such a provision can apply even for the opinions expressed on social networks, given that they are considered public space”, luju.ro adds.
