President Klaus Iohannis sent on Thursday to the Jewish Communities of Romania (FCER) President Aurel Vainer a message of congratulations on Passover.
"With the occasion of Passover 2016 it gives me great pleasure to tell you and all the members of the Jewish communities of Romania, 'Hag Pesah Sameah!', together with my most sincere wishes of prosperity and joy, under the sign of hope and peace. Traditional holiday and cornerstone of Jewish spirituality, the Passover commemorates the saving of the Hebrew people from its bitter slavery and its new birth as a people called to embrace freedom," the message by the head of state reads.
President Iohannis also sends to Vainer "his warmest thoughts of friendship and good luck" in the latter's activity.
