Prices keep on increasing, and last month the inflation reached the highest level since June 2013. The biggest markups have been recorded with fruits and vegetables.
Compared to January, in February, the biggest price increase has affected citrus and other southers fruits , as well as vegetables, and gas. Eggs, on the other side, had registered a price reduction, after they have seen a huge increase at the end of last year. Other reductions have been noted on sugar and petrol.
The National Institute of Statistics (INS) will publish on Tuesday morning data about the median income for the month of January, and we will be able to tell how the new prices fall affect consumers.
INS will also release the price index for spendings in February. If in January we have seen an increase in the price of products compared to last year, we will now see if there are any further increases for products and services. Furthermore, INS will publish temporary data about the energy sectors.
