President Klaus Iohannis is looking forward with confidence in 2016, stating Thursday in the message marking the New Year that it is up to us to use the opportunities we have to move forward and make Romania the country that we want.
"Dear Romanians, today we celebrate the turn of the year, I wish you all a happy 2016, rich in accomplishments and higher in aspirations.(...) I am looking forward with confidence in 2016. I want the changes for the better to take shape and consistency. It is up to us alone to use the opportunities we have to progress and make Romania the country that we want. Happy New Year, dear Romanians, wherever you are! ", the president said in the video message posted on his Facebook page. Iohannis shows that" the year ending was a challenging one for all, marked by hardships with difficult decisions moments, but necessary. "
"2015 was, however, the year of regaining normality, the year in which the foundations were laid for a deep reconstruction in the Romanian society. With hope, courage and determination, Romanians have demonstrated that any impasse can be overcome," says President Klaus Iohannis.
