Prime Minister Victor Ponta has changed the two vice-presidents of the National Institute of Statistics, by decrees signed on Thursday.
Cristian Stan and Gered Beatrix were released from INS vice-president positions, their places being taken by Elana Iagar and Florin Ciurariu.
In the context of discussions on the referendum on President Basescu's dismissal, Victor Ponta said that he wanted to evaluate the latest census data on Thursday, showing that there are still in use electoral lists of 2002, with three million more population.
The Head of Government was disturbed because he did not receive the census results on time.
"We made great efforts to find census results and still we don't have them. We haven’t completed an operation that was started last year," Ponta said, regarding the reason the two deputies were replaced from Statistics.
Population and Housing Census took place in 2011,between 20 and 31 of October.
