Prime Minister Victor Ponta said Monday, after having received Corlăţean’s resignation as Minister of Foreign Affairs, that he sent President Traian Basescu the proposal that Teodor Meleşcanu be sworn in Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Titus Corlatean announced Monday that he had decided to submit his resignation from the office of Minister of Foreign Affairs, noting that the ministry maintained its position that there was no legal basis for the creation of new polling stations abroad in the second round of presidential elections in this year.
