The Prime Minister Victor Ponta announced Thursday night, after the Government meeting, that he has a new counselor, in the person of retired U.S. General Wesley Clark.
”I asked him to accept the position of special adviser on issues of economic strategies and security. Mr. Wesley Clark is a well known personality not only in U.S., but also globally”, said on Thursday, Prime Minister Victor Ponta.
General Wesley Clark will advise Mr. Ponta in strategic areas, safety and economics field.
General Clark said he was honored that he can assist the Government and the Romanian citizens.
According to Government spokesman Andrei Zaharescu, Mr. Wesley Clark is an honorary personal adviser of the Prime Minister, he will not be paid and will not participate in Cabinet meetings.
The American general was Mihai Gadea’s exclusive guest Thursday evening on Antena 3, where he shared detalis about his role as an adviser for Victor Ponta.
