64 Counties Youth Movement is an extremist organization which advocates for the restoration of Greater Hungary. On the National Day of Romania, a man, a member of the extremist party, was detained and taken to DIICOT headquarters in the capital to be heard in connection with placing a bomb in Târgu Secuiesc.
The initiator of the movement 64 Counties Youth Movement is Toroczkai Laszlo Szeged (Hungary) in 2001. The name comes from the 64 counties in which Hungary was divided before the Treaty of Trianon. On May 16, 2001 the official presentation of the organization took place, which has as its motto: "Faith, loyalty, courage."
64 Counties Youth Movement is not legally organized in Romania. In 2008, the initiators of the movement in Romania (Peter Waum, Lokodi Ferenc Szabolcs Tokos, Szabo Nandor and Frafft- Szabo Istvan) asked the Court to approve the establishment of HVIM Székelyudvarhely Romania, but later withdrew the request.
