All 6 Romanian inventions were awarded in Bangkok where the Thailand Inventors' Day was held attended by representatives from 17 countries. The Romanian delegation returns home with 3 gold and 3 silver medals and other international prizes. The Romanians inventions counted the environmentally friendly concrete , but the integrated polygraph received a special award, the second most important in this competition.

The event was attended by over 800 inventions and patents. Romania was represented by the Romanian Inventors Forum, and the works belonged to inventors of Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi and the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.
