An automotive engineer from Deva proposes a device for reducing the fuel consumption of trucks with more than 5%, the invention will be presented by the Romanian stand at the International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva (2-6 April), following a selection procedure organized by the National Authority for Scientific Research.

Called "dynamic air transfer device", the invention conceived by Corneliu Birtok-Baneasa was tested for three years in a truck company from Deva and practical tests have shown a reduction in consumption and an increase in engine power in normal traffic conditions.

"It's an invention dedicated for trucks only. I perfected it and made the first tests in the mechanics laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering in Hunedoara. Then I tested the prototype on a truck company in Deva, practical results are showing an increase in engine power up to 4% and the real economy of fuel was 5-7%, "Corneliu Birtok-Baneasa stated Monday for Agerpres
