At the opposite pole, 39% of Romanian have never used the Internet, compared with a 37% rate of non-use in Bulgaria and 33% in Greece.
In 2006, the rate of non-use of the Internet in Romania was about 74%, according to Eurostat, which notes that the figure may be inaccurate because of an interruption in the data series that led to the study.
At EU level, 65% of people aged between 16 and 74 years used the Internet daily in 2014 compared to 31% in 2006.
The daily utilization this year ranged from 32% in Romania, the lowest average in the EU, to 85% and 87% in Luxembourg and Denmark.
