Romania will contribute, in 2015, with 500,000 euros to the NATO’S Support Fund for Ukraine in the cyber defense field, according to a Government Decision published in the Official Gazette on Tuesday, according to Mediafax.
The Government approved by Government Decision the Financial Management Agreement between Romania and the Financial Control Office of the NATO Alliance Fund support for the cyber defense of Ukraine, signed on 2 December.
Romania’s contribution to the fund amounts to 500.000 euro.
According to the Government Decision published Tuesday in the Official Journal, the amount will be deducted from the Romanian Intelligence Service budge.
Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu announced on 2 December in Brussels, the operation of NATO Support Fund in cyber defense, managed by SRI Romania, stressing that, in this position, Bucharest will support Ukraine’s increased capacity to respond to new threats.
