Romanian pupils and students obtained most of the gold medals at the 2015 Infomatrix 114
Romanian students won 15 gold, 30 silver and 26 bronze medals at the international competition Infomatrix dedicated to IT projects, held in Bucharest on 14-18 May, by the Lumina Educational Institutions.

"Romania is the big winner of this competition, with 15 gold medals won in all categories. Our country was followed on the podium by Mexico and Turkey, while the fourth and fifth places were occupied by Ecuador and the Netherlands. (...) From the 15 medals won by Romania, three are in the category Hardware Control by Ana Maria Tudorache, Ojog Miruna and Ionut Budişteanu, one in the Programming section (Ionascu Alexandru), two in Short Movies (Meryem Karagoz and Nury Gursoy) and the remainder in the category Robotics "states a press release from the organizers, sent out Monday by Agerpres.
The organizers offered the winner 380 medals, including 58 gold.

Over 600 participants from 51 countries competed in the categories: Computer Art, Hardware Control, Programming, Short Movie and Robotics.

"Robots that help children with autism socialize, communicate, adapt to their environment or smart homes that wet the grass or reduce your utility bills by themselves, are just some of the interesting projects that could be seen on Infomatrix 2015. Also, among the projects on display in this competition, there were robots helping the blind and even a scooter that works exclusively with alternative energy " the release reads.
Infomatrix is an international competition held annually in Romania, since 2003, by the Foundation Lumina Educational Institutions, being initiated to allow the best students in IT to meet and exchange ideas by presenting IT & C projects .
