A 17 year old ballerina from Cluj Napoca, died in UK because of a blood clot allegedly caused by contraceptives .

Maria Santa, who won a scholarship to a famous ballet school in Manchester, complained of headaches and was hospitalized four times, but each time the doctors sent her home. Shortly after the last visit to the hospital, her lover, Matias Castecano, found her unconscious in the apartment where they lived, stirileprotv.ro report.

Maria has been admitted to the Regal Salfordhospital where she died after two days.

Doctors argue that most likely her death was caused by the contraceptives she was taking, a sort that allegedly caused several deaths over the past years.

Maria Santa, born in Cluj Napoca, started ballet when she was 9, and in 2015 she won a scholarship worth 12.648 pounds, at the Manchester Ballet School. Her father, Robert Santa, said that over the past few days his daughter had been complaining about "her head exploding ", and that she could barely stand.

Piyali Pal pathologist said the teenager had blood clots in the brain. "It is very rare for a person of this age to have this disease. It is the third case of this kind that we've had in the past 9 years and a half. One of the women, who died from it, was taking the same type of contraceptive."
