A Romanian sued Greece and won 22.000 euros at the European Court of Human Rights.
The man is in a detention center in the Greek city of Piraeus and has denounced the inhuman conditions in which he is held. Cells are no more than 25 square meters and host up to 10 inmates, with no electricity, no heat and people sleeping on mattresses placed on the floor.
The ECHR has ruled in favor of the Romanian and other prisoners who sued the Greek State.
