Mountainous regions occupy 30 percent of EU territory, but do not recieve due attention in the Cohesion Policy.
MEPs want a global european approach on this matter, in order to generate to bring benefits in these areas, including those in Romania.
”Often there is not enough money, it is a demographic catastrophe in mountainous regions”, bulgarian MEP Iliana Iotova said on Be EU tv show, at Antenna 3.
She also spoke about the regions with considerable potential, adding that something must be done for in undeveloped areas.
MEP Daniel Buda, talking about the development of mountainous regions, said that we lack the will to do something.
