National Day celebrations were overshadowed yesterday by a shocking piece of news: An extremist leader had planned to commit an attack during the December 1st parade at Târgu Secuiesc. The Anhti-Terror Squad and the Romanian Intelligence Service managed to foil the attempt by arresting the would-be terrorist. His name is Istvan Beke, he is 40 years old and he is the local leader of a neo-Nazi Hungarian organization which calls for bloodshed on this country's streets to have the Greater Hungary restored. In his home and office, prosecutors found hundreds of pyrotechnic materials which he wanted to turn into an explosive device meant to kill people.
