A community of Gypsies from Maramures County are the main priority of a French charitable organisation.
The French went to the small village of Ponorâta and built a day care centre for 80 children. They all eat a warm meal there and are taken care of by a well-trained kindergarten teacher who makes them aspire to a future job other than begging.
The charitable organisation from the Hexagon chose to build the child care center in this Gypsy community because most of the beggars in the streets of Lille came from that particular village in Romania.
