Paris was on high terror alert again exactly one year after the terrible attack against the headquarters of the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine, when 12 people were murdered. Yesterday, a man armed with a knife was shot dead after he stepped into a local police department. The man, killed before he had the chance of making any victims, was also wearing a fake explosive belt. Witnesses say the police fired at least three shots at the attacker. Access to the building and whole neighbourhood was restrcited and local inhabitants were forced to stay indoors.
