Twenty Romanian policemen are patrolling the streets of Paris providing support for the French police in solving the offenses involving Romanian citizens, Mediafax reports.
This is the fifth support type mission in France, there where for the past two years the number of crimes committed by Romanian nationals nearly doubled. Most of these are the "work" of Roma ethnics and the crimes range from fraud to theft and picking pockets.
With every assistance mission, the rate of crimes committed by Romanians decreased by 10%.
The preferred targets for the Romanian thieves are the tourists, approached in the area of touristic sites or commercial centres.
