Five cars of Romanian immigrants were burned during the night of Saturday to Sunday, in a neighborhood located on the outskirts of Rome, writes the Italian press, according to Mediafax.
Residents of the Borghesiana district, located on the Eastern outskirts of the Italian capital, were awakened by loud noises, around 4.00 am, according to the site RomaToday.it. Five cars registered in Romania that were parked on the street of San Fili were burned, being totally destroyed.

In the area, there was a car stationed registered in Italy, but that vehicle was not put on fire.

Firefighters arrived at the scene could not but notice the damage and carabinieri started an investigation for intentional destruction of property.

The Italian investigators privileged the hypothesis that it was a racist and xenophobic act committed by arsonists against the Romanian community in Italy.
