The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the European Parliament resolution denouncing pressures of the Tiraspol regime on Romanian-language schools, denouncing the "arrogance" of the initiative supporters” , some "Romanian MEPs'.

"The resolution on the right to teach in Transnistria, adopted by the European Parliament in the plenary session of February 6, has not passed unnoticed in Moscow . We are amazed by the fact that this resolution bill, drafted by Romanian MEPs, was voted by less than 10% of the European Parliament members", the Russian Foreign Ministry press release red, quoted by RIA Novosti.

Russian Foreign Ministry expressed their "regret" about the "arrogant desire of Romanian MEPs who supported this resolution to claim to be experts in a complex and delicate issue ".

Moscow calls on the EU "to adopt in the future, a more responsible approach to issues related to settling the situation in Transnistria".

The European Parliament denounced in a resolution adopted on February 6, the administrative pressures increasingly intense exercised by the authorities in Tiraspol on Romanian-language schools in Transnistria, stressing that the right to education is a "fundamental" right.
