Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says the missile defense system to be located in Romania and Poland is a real risk for the Russian nuclear deterrent forces.
The Russian official claimed during the Munich Security Conference that missile launchers that will come into operation in the basis of Deveselu are prohibited by the Treaty on the liquidation of medium-range missiles and low action.
Moreover, Lavrov has threatened that any action that undermines strategic stability inevitably calls for response measures.
At the Deveselu base, in Olt, United States is expected to place 24 missile launchers.
