They fled from a war-torn country and now they might die of exhaustion.

Children have blood blisters on their feet after a long and exhausting journey and parents are so fatigued that they can hardly carry the children in their arms anymore.

It looks like a movie scene but these images of despair are real. They were shot by Syrians residing in Romania who went to neighbouring Hungary to distribute food to their compatriots. The following footage is exclusive.

There are thousands of children like her, who escaped from Syria with their parents and who are now spending their childhood on the kerbs of Budapest's  East railway station.

A few Syrians who had settled in Romania went there by car, carrying canned food, clothes and toys.

They reached the frontier after a ten-hour drive.

The footage taken with a mobile phone shows many refugees who turned a railway station into their home. Some of them put up tents, others sleep on the ground.

Children play all over the place, unaware of the nightmare their parents are experiencing in an efort to keep them out of harm's way. So our Romanian-Syrians' mission is not over yet: they will go back to that railway station of suffering in two weeks' time.
