Romania and China have signed the Declaration to “deepen bilateral cooperation under the new circumstances”
Representatives of the Romanian and Chinese governments signed on Monday in Bucharest, a joint declaration on "deepening bilateral cooperation under the new circumstances” that ensures collaboration regardless of any international and domestic changes and shows that the EU and China are strategic forces, Mediafax reports.

In the document, the Romanian party states that it will continue applying as before the firm policy of a single China and support China's reunification cause.
    
Prime Minister Victor Ponta said that the document signing is another step towards a "truly strategic" partnership between Romania and China.    

The two parties show that "over the 64 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the exchanges between Romania and China have developed steadily, registering fruitful results in all areas of cooperation. Both countries have always had a strategic vision of bilateral relations development, considering each other as good friends and good and honest partners who cooperate to their mutual advantage. The Broad Friendship and Cooperation Partnership relations between Romania and China can be considered as an example of inter-state relations of the times we live in.

Moreover, regardless of the changes that may occur internationally and in the domestic situations of the two countries, the traditional friendship between Romania and China enjoy the constant , full and wide support of the two countries and their peoples, this common treasure constituting a substantial foundation to strengthen political dialogue and pragmatic cooperation in economic and trade exchanges and deepening inter-human Broad Partnership of Friendship and Cooperation between the two countries.

Respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the other party and the consideration of key interests and concerns of each party are major intrinsic features in the traditional friendship between Romania and China. The Romanian party will continue as before in applying firmly the one China policy and support China's reunification cause. The Chinese party attaches a high appreciation to this fact.

The further deepening of their Broad Partnership of Friendship and Cooperation relationships between Romania and China corresponds to the aspirations and fundamental interests of the two countries and their peoples and are determined that, based on the principles of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, they should enrich the content of the traditional Sino-Romanian friendship, to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation and promote the prosperity of the two countries.
    
The document also shows that the year 2014 marks the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 10 years celebrations since the establishment of the Broad Friendship and Cooperation Partnership relations which represents a milestone in the evolution of the Romanian-Chinese relations and decided to use this opportunity to expand bilateral cooperation to the political, economic, commercial plans as well as to encourage exchanges between people in other areas and work hard to raise bilateral relations to a higher level.
    
 The Romanian party welcomes the participation of the Chinese companies in investment projects in various fields in Romania and will ensure equal conditions of their conduct, as required by law. The Chinese party gives high praise to the Romanian measures to simplify visa procedures for Chinese businessmen traveling to Romania, it continues to support Chinese companies ‘s activity transfer to Romania for business and investment and encourage the active involvement of Romanian companies in projects targeting China's development.   

Both China and Romania, are in agreement that the China - Central and Eastern European countries format of cooperation provides new opportunities for deepening bilateral relations. This cooperation corresponds to common aspirations and fundamental interests of the peoples of China and of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the cooperation promotion in all fields between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe is beneficial and boosts broad and balanced development of relations between China and the European Union. The Chinese party highly appreciates the support given by Romania in boosting cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and appreciates the great efforts made ​​by Romania to organize the meeting of leaders of China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

The European Union and China are important strategic forces on the international scene they are important partners for cooperation to promote peace, prosperity and stability in the world and to meet global challenges. Both parties support the robust development of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the EU and China and welcome the results of the EU-China Summit in Beijing and decide to contribute more intensely to boosting the development of relations between the EU and China. The Chinese party highly appreciates the positive role played by Romania in the European Union and the relations between China and the European Union.

The document shows that Romania and China strongly oppose all forms of terrorism and are willing to strengthen anti-terrorism cooperation and jointly promote international cooperation against terrorism. The two parties will continue to strengthen cooperation on preventing climate change and promote sustainable development. "
