The architect who designed the People’s House , Anca Petrescu, died Wednesday at Floreasca Emergency Hospital in Bucharest, after a month in coma, following a car accident.

The announcement was made by former senator Marius Marinescu, who used to be Anca Petrescu’s collegue in the PRM, Mediafax reports. Anca Petrescu was 64.

Marius Marinescu said that the information was provided by Professor Ion Lascar, chief of plastic surgery at Floreasca Emergency Hospital.

Anca Petrescu was admitted to the Emergency Hospital Floreasca and she spent a month in a coma after being involved in a road accident in the Timis County.

Anca Petrescu was born on March 20, 1949 in Sighisoara, and in 1973 she graduated from the Institute of Architecture Ion Mincu.

In 1980 he was commissioned to design the People's House, the Parliament House today.

In the 2004-2008 legislature she was deputy in the Chamber of Deputies from the party Great Romania.
