The Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) announced that, on Sunday, until 23:00 p.m., when polls were closed, 45.92 percent of all voters expressed their electoral option in the referendum for ousting Romania's president, according to estimates nationwide.
BEC president, Elena Gabriela Bogasiu, said that the estimate is based on the votes centralization from 2,889 polling stations, of a total of 18,242, with the margin of error of + / - 3 percent.
In the municipality of Bucharest, the turnout accounted for 40.04 percent.
