The Government believes the decisions of the Constitutional Court definitely prove that all the democratic and constitutional rules were observed in Parliament when performing the changes throughout last week, Agerpres reports.
In a press release issued by the Government's Press Office, the Romanian Government says it has taken note of the decisions of the Constitutional Court in relation to the replacement of the chairs of the two chambers of Parliament and the validation of the procedures to suspend President Traian Basescu, and also in relation to the powers of the Constitutional Court.
"We respect these decisions and believe the Romanian Parliament, the pro tempore president and the Romanian Government has to take into account all the decisions and recommendations made by the Constitutional Court. We stay firm in our commitment to support the rule of law and democratic values by observing the decisions of the Constitutional Court," reads the release.
