Analists looking at the leaked images of the new iPhone predict that the new Apple gadget will have the ability the act as a credit or debit card thanks to a NFC chip integrated within it's hardware system.
NFC is seen as the successor to the chip-and-pin, serving as a small contactless card which can be waved against scanners at tills to automate a payment.
NFC phones are already available in the United States, Google making a big play for the market with it's "Wallet" accounts, but the popularity of Apple gadgets and especially iPhone could send shockwaves in the payment system thanks to this feature.
